For over 3 decades, Australian manufacturer, Furniture By Design (FBD) has been utilising ethically sourced, native timbers to produce locally made, high-quality and sustainable furniture.

FBD is passionate about delivering a range that is thoughtfully crafted with minimum waste. FBD’s collection consists of sofas, chairs, modular lounges and acoustic furniture all with a foundation of ethically and locally sourced timber frames. FBD’s commercial collection and bespoke commissions are designed with form, function and sustainability in mind. FBD also actively promotes locally milled Australian and New Zealand natural fibre upholstery textiles and materials.

We started working with FBD to create a strategy of evolving their outdated brand mid 2020 with a vision for their new identity to reflect FBDs core values of Authenticity, Integrity and Sustainability whilst taking them into a brave new direction for the future.

The geometric logo design is a modern reductive take on FBD typography a reference to their premium manufacturing crafted with minimum waste and is the hero of all the branding collateral.
